The Winning Route: 7-Day Sailing Itinerary in Croatia

Day 1: Split – Hvar

Depart from Split and begin your adventure along Croatia’s stunning Dalmatian coast. Enjoy a scenic sail towards Hvar Island, then continue to the peaceful bay of Borče near Milna on Hvar’s south side. Here you’ll moor up and enjoy an authentic dinner at Konoba Kotin, known for its fresh fish and local specialties - the perfect first taste of Dalmatian island hospitality. If you’d like to soak up a bit of Hvar’s famous vibe, hop in a 5-minute taxi cab ride to Hvar Town to explore its buzzing nightlife and historic square. Return to the bay for a perfectly refreshing morning swim before setting sail again.

Day 2: Hvar – Korčula

After breakfast and a swim, set sail southeast to Korčula, the medieval “Little Dubrovnik” with its fortified old town and charming stone streets. Secure a berth in the town marina, wander the narrow alleys, climb the cathedral bell tower for breathtaking views, and dine at one of Korčula’s excellent waterfront restaurants.

Day 3: Korčula – Mljet

Leave Korčula behind and sail to the lush, unspoiled island of Mljet. Spend the day exploring Mljet National Park - bike or hike around the stunning saltwater lakes, swim at secluded beaches, and don’t miss visiting the 12th-century monastery located on the tiny islet right in the middle of the Great Lake (Veliko Jezero). Overnight in peaceful Polače or Pomena, both offering sheltered moorings and authentic local konobas.

Day 4: Mljet – Lastovo

Sail further south to remote Lastovo, a designated nature park celebrated for its dark skies, crystal-clear sea, and laid-back island life. The island is especially known for its delicious local lobsters, a must-try for seafood lovers. Drop anchor in one of the island’s protected bays, swim in the calm turquoise waters, and enjoy a slow evening sampling fresh lobster and other local specialties at Konoba Augusta Insula, a beloved family-run tavern known for authentic Dalmatian cuisine.

Day 5: Lastovo – Vis

Set your course for Vis, an island known for its authentic vibe and captivating history. Spend the afternoon exploring Vis Town or the fishing village of Komiža. If you’re up for an adventure, join a boat tour to nearby Biševo and see the famous Blue Cave. End your day with sunset drinks at a local waterfront bar.

Day 6: Vis – Šolta

Depart from Vis and sail towards the island of Šolta, heading to Maslinica Bay. Upon arrival, you’ll dock at Martinis Marchi Castle Marina, a beautifully restored marina set beside a historic castle. In the evening, treat yourself to a memorable dining experience at Konoba Šampjer, located just a short walk or shuttle ride away. Enjoy delicious Dalmatian specialties like grilled lobster and fresh seafood while soaking in stunning panoramic views of the Adriatic.

Day 7: Šolta – Blue Lagoon – Split

Enjoy a final island swim before heading back to Split. Make a refreshing stop at the famous Blue Lagoon near Drvenik Veli, known for its sparkling turquoise waters - perfect for one last dip. Then sail back to Split’s lively waterfront, where you can wander the UNESCO-listed Diocletian’s Palace, pick up a few souvenirs, and reflect on your unforgettable Croatian sailing adventure.
